Reports are the surveyor's professional opinion

Any survey, inspection or report obtained through the platform reflects the independent professional opinion and judgement of the surveyor who performed it, based on the scope agreed, the conditions at the time and the limitations stated in the report. The surveyor is the professional of record and is solely responsible for their findings.

No warranty on outcomes

• BMS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, quality, suitability or outcome of any survey, report or surveyor obtained through the platform.
• Verification of a surveyor by BMS is a credibility check, not an endorsement, guarantee or assumption of responsibility for their work.
• A survey is a snapshot in time and within a defined scope; it is not a guarantee of a vessel's condition, value or future performance.

Do your own due diligence

Before engaging a surveyor, we recommend that you:

• Verify the surveyor's credentials, qualifications and relevant experience.
• Confirm they hold appropriate professional indemnity and liability insurance for your survey.
• Agree the scope, limitations and deliverables in writing before work begins.
• Seek independent professional advice where a decision carries significant risk.
